Hanscomb CEO and FIDIC President’s List Mediator and Adjudicator, Sean Gibbs is speaking at the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation Vienna Conference.
Delay Analysis Workshop (optional): Wednesday, 8 March 2023
Conference: Thursday, 9 – Friday, 10 March 2023
Venue: Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna
- Global Claims – Ground for common sense or an embarrassing issue?
- Case Studies and exercises on Global Claims
- Unique issues of Dispute Board application in Central Europe
Projects and claims become more and more challenging in a world of ever-growing complexity. The global claim can be seen as a strategy to reduce the effort for all involved parties, but substantiation and evidence remain crucial points. Different legal systems and different types of contracts raise additional questions beginning from “How can a global claim work?” up to “Can a global claim work at all in the project’s specific situation?” The DRBF Central & Eastern European Conference will offer different perspectives on global claims from notable experts in the field, with a focus on Dispute Boards.
