Philip has over 40 years experience as a geotechnical and civil engineer working in the United Kingdom , Middle East, Africa and  the Americas.

He was formerly Head of Geotechnics at Highways England and authored or contributed to many of the documents and standards which now form geotechnical disputes, such as EC7, BS5930, SHW, DMRB, TRLPR60 etc.

Highly regarded by his peers, Philip  has advised Government Ministers and Permanent  Secretaries  for appearance at National Audit Office and Public Accounts Committee hearings on cost increases on highway construction contracts.
